Darkness, My Ole' Friend
Hello, Darkness, my ole' friend:
I've come to talk with you again.
My loneliness comes to set in;
Why am I here, chatting with sin?
What the hell did I do:
To earn such a life, I'm living true.
I only seek to live peacefully;
So, I need to figure this out, indeed.
Why do I keep coming back, defined?
My darknesses take me places,
That I'm unwilling to unhide.
The multiple times I catch myself:
Openly conversating with me, myself, I'd shelf.
Darkness:
Telling me; I'm crazy,
Should I be?
What is happening;
From deeper within me?
Into the depths of my soul;
I must go.
It's never been;
So,
Deep, deeply tolled.
I never asked to be born into:
A world being born into its sins.
Who wants to be in a place;
Where Corruption, Lust,
Lies,
Greed has no Grace.
Sex can be bought, on corners;
Along with the diseases, it carries,
Scorned without a lover!
You are all too comfortable to me;
A place I'm unwilling to be.
Here you go, Darkness, my ole' friend;
With a bunch of Angry, Angry Smiles,
In its first sins.
I'd been baiting you all the while:
I shall not go or walk with you,
One More Mile!!!
Darkness, My Ole' Friend!
