My Dear

I had written this back in the 90’s early on in our dating years. I can remeber how young lover’s act. She was my excitement, the reasons I wanted a future with her. I knew of our children in a dream. I woke up the next morning and excited, I just had to tell her all about it.

Shannon, I sure do miss you.

My Dear

When I close my eyes at night,

I wish you were by me,

holding me tight.

I wish you could look,

deep in my eyes,

and tell me that I mean the world to you.

And loving me,

is all you want to do.

Because all I want to do,

is to be loved by you.

I wish you could whisper in my ear,

and tell me that,

you always want to be near.

Loving you,

is all I have in my mind,

and I will love you time after sweet time.

And when I close my eyes tonight,

I will dream of you,

holding me tight.
